Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the northwest of England and beyond. We also provide Health and Justice Services in a number of custodial settings.

A high quality and flexible workforce is the key to being able to provide high quality patient care. This is why we need more flexible workers to return or join our bank, in order to keep up the NHS standards:

  • Become part of the team
  • Deliver the best care possible
  • Build great relationships
  • Develop your skills

One of the biggest challenges NHS trusts face, is ensuring the quality of patient care whilst working within strict budgets. A lack of available staff means unfilled shifts, which in turn leads to unfilled commitments to patients and their families. What NHS trusts need is a reliable supply of experienced staff, ready to step in and fill shifts when trusts need them most.

And that’s where NHS Professionals comes in. Owned by the Department of Health and Social Care and part of the NHS family, we are working in partnership with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust to help them to reduce their reliance on agencies by providing a ‘bank’ of highly skilled and pre-screened staff who want to work for the NHS.

Join the Bank

When you join the NHSP bank you are subject to its terms and conditions but you’ll enjoy a number of perks:

  • Weekly pay
  • First choice of available shifts
  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid holidays
  • Having a better work – life balance
  • Stakeholder Pension Scheme available

Whatever your availability we value your skills and experience and can provide you with a fantastic opportunity to work with us in a way that suits your lifestyle.
