You will need a minimum of 6 months healthcare experience (Private or NHS) within the last 2 years, in a relevant setting in which you are applying to e.g. ITU, A&E, General, Mental Health, Community and hold a valid NMC registration. Alternatively, if you do not hold the relevant experience, you will need to have completed a ‘Return to Practice’ course within the last 2 years.
Experience can be from one of the following areas:
You will need a minimum of 6 months Healthcare Assistant experience within the last 2 years, in the relevant setting you are applying to e.g. ITU, A&E, General, Mental Health and hold a valid Care Certificate or relevant qualification. Alternatively, if you do not have the relevant experience, you will need to be currently studying (Student Nurse) towards a Nursing qualification (Degree level) and have completed a minimum of a 10 or 12 week (depending on the Trust you are applying for) clinical placement to work as a Healthcare Assistant. If you do not have the relevant care experience, you can apply for our Care Support Worker Development programme.
