11 great months of the Flexible Nursing Pool and counting!

On Monday 17th September, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Professionals introduced the ‘Flexible Staff Pool’ for Nursing bank members. This initiative was designed to tackle unfilled shift pressures by linking bank members with last-minute shifts, while providing several attractive incentives.

With hard work and dedication over 5,000 flexible nursing shifts have been worked so far to help further reduce unfilled shift pressures. We currently have over 700 Nursing bank members registered in the Flexible Nursing Pool available to provide key support to the trust.

The Flexible Nursing Pool has helped make a real difference to patients’ lives every day at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with several worked by our committed bank members since its launch.

We are extremely proud that due to the support of so many bank members we have been able to provide essential last-minute shift cover for the trust and NHS.

Did you know…

95% of bank members recommend joining the Flexible Nursing Pool and 84% enjoy working pool ward shifts.
