How do I join the Bank?
There are a number of ways to join the bank:
Full Bank Membership
The Bank Only route applies to any
applicant who is not permanently employed by an NHS Trust where we currently
manage the bank or would like the flexibility of working in our other Trusts.
Substantive Bank Membership
The substantive route
applies to any applicant who is currently employed at one of our partner NHS Trusts whose bank is managed
by NHS Professionals and would like to pick up extra shifts through the bank at
that Trust only. To join the bank via a substantive route, please contact your
onsite NHS Professionals Trust Liaison Coordinator (TLC), and they will explain the
steps to join the bank.
Bank Exclusive Membership
Bank Exclusive is a fast track recruitment process for applicants who are known in a professional capacity to one of our Partner Trusts, allowing members to undertake shifts at the sponsoring Trust. To join via the Bank Exclusive route, please contact the onsite TLC, and they will explain the steps the Bank Exclusive process and provide you with a Bank Exclusive application pack.

We do not have an age restriction for joining NHS Professionals. As long as you meet the minimum requirements and have the Eligibility to Work in the UK (and an NI number) then you can join.
