Consultant General Medicine Elderly Care

Doctors Direct have a new and exciting opportunity for a number of Consultants to work with us at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in General Medicine - Elderly Care.

We are looking for a dedicated doctors ready to work in a Trust striving to make patient experiences better than ever.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Maintenance of high quality patient centred care
  • Shared responsibility for the day to day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
  • Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
  • Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
  • Active participation in continuing medical education
  • Broad range of experience in Elderly and general medicine
  • Experience of complex care and discharge planning
  • Fully competent in broad range of medical issues in older and general medical patients
  • Interest/experience in provision of specialty Falls service
  • Ability to offer and be accountable for, full and independent expert diagnostic opinion

 

Details about the role:

  • Speciality: Medicine/Geriatrics
  • Location: Worcestershire
  • Shift patterns: 8:30-17:00 Mon-Fri on-going, part-time hours also available
  • Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
  • Start date: ASAP - no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
  • Rate of pay per hour: £100-£120 depending on experience

 

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all candidates applying for this role must have the following:

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
