Endoscopy Consultant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Endoscopy to work with us at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital.

  • Speciality: Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Location: East Kent
  • Shift patterns: 08:00-20:00 Mon-Fri on-going, part-time hours also available.
  • Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
  • Rate: £100-£120 Depending on experience
  • Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is ongoing the client will accept short-term contracts
  • Payment method: PAYE We do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies

We're currently recruiting for a new locum opportunity based in Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital. You will be working as an Endoscopy Consultant, for an NHS Trust. For this role, the individual must have relevant previous experience working in this type of position.

  • Providing expert clinical care in endoscopy, including performing a range of endoscopic procedures such as upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), etc.
  • Utilizing endoscopic techniques to diagnose conditions like gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, polyps, tumours, inflammatory bowel diseases, and other GI disorders.
  • Conducting therapeutic interventions during endoscopy, such as removing polyps, performing biopsies, treating strictures, managing bleeding, placing stents, and carrying out other minimally invasive procedures.
  • Ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures, explaining procedures to patients, and addressing their concerns.

Requirements

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Will be required to provide at least 2 referees
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
