World Mental Health Day – 10th October 2025
On Friday 10th October, we will join people across the globe in marking World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme is “It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace” – a call to action for all organisations to put staff wellbeing at the heart of what they do.
The workplace can have a huge impact on our mental health, and we know that working in healthcare brings both rewards and challenges. Prioritising mental health means creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and able to talk openly about how they are feeling.
In the run-up to World Mental Health Day, we encourage you to:
- Check in with yourself and colleagues – a simple conversation can make a big difference.
- Make use of support – remember, resources and wellbeing services are available to you.
- Take small steps – whether it’s a short break, a walk, or setting healthy boundaries, self-care is an important part of sustaining good mental health.
- Together, we can build a culture where mental health is valued, respected, and protected – not just on World Mental Health Day, but every day.
Let’s take this opportunity to put mental health first, for ourselves and each other.
