How can the clinical governance team support bank members?

At NHS Professionals, the Clinical Governance team supports all our clients, Trusts and Bank Members, and ultimately aim to offer assurance that patient care is delivered encompassing the principles of NHS Professionals behaviours and standards, the 6 C’s and professional standards. Importantly, the team are here to support you, our Bank Members, if there is ever a clinical concern, feedback or incident raised at your Trust.

Our role is to provide a balance between ensuring patient safety and increasing professional and clinical standards.  We aim to be as impartial and fair as possible and will always listen to Bank Members and any concerns or issues they have – following the principles of “Being Fair

The team is made up of Registered Nurses, Midwifes, non-registered clinical investigators and also admin support, and we’re located across England, so we can provide local support in your area.

We offer help if a Trust or patient raises any concern about a Bank Member, and we’ll work on your behalf to investigate and resolve any issues or allegations. We’ll offer support at every step of the way.

We also work with Trust teams on feedback given by you, via the Bank Member survey to review and resolve common issues Bank Members have highlighted, that regularly prevent you from been effective in the role. From improving ward inductions to supporting you getting access to the systems you need at the Trust; we’ll work to resolve or improve the issues you highlighted.
