Wards Covered: All Wards – Guildford, Chertsey, Epsom

Pay Rates: Day £29.30, Nights & Saturdays £37.55, Sundays & Bank Holidays £45.90

We have flexible Bank shifts, long term placements and substantive opportunities available for Band 7 Mental Health Nurse available at Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust (SABP)

One in four people in the UK will experience mental health issues at some point in their lives. SABP are passionate about support and recovery for both those affected and their loved ones.

SABP are commissioned to provide secondary mental health services across Surrey and NE Hampshire, both in the community and within inpatient settings.

Skills/Responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Provide high quality care to patients
  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment

To apply for this post, you will:

  • Minimum of 6 months MH RN UK (Private or NHS) hospital/Prison experience within the last 2 years or Completion of a Return to Practice within the last 2 years
  • NMC registration
  • Experience of working within a mental health hospital setting
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of record keeping
  • Be able to work as an independent practitioner
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
  • Undertake regular mandatory training

In order to apply for this post you must have at least 6 months experience as a Mental Health Registered Nurse (or equivalent position) in a mental health hospital or Prison setting within the last 2 years. Along with the skills to carry out basic clinical observations. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications without the required experience.
