Junior Doctor A&E

We have an exciting opportunity for junior doctors to work with us at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust on their A&E team. 

Our client is looking for dedicated doctors ready to work in a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence.

As an accident and emergency doctor, it will be your responsibility to clinically assess all new arrivals to the accident and emergency department. You’ll need to assess patients quickly, with often little information to go by, you’ll need to have wide-ranging medical knowledge and be able to think on your feet. Although this can be challenging, this hugely rewarding job will put you on the front line of saving lives in emergencies. Commonly, you’ll need to respond to accidents and emergencies as varied as:

  • Minor cuts
  • Traffic accidents
  • Strokes
  • Heart attacks
  • Self-harm
  • Alcohol and drug-related ailments

 

Details about the role:

  • Speciality: A&E
  • Grades required: Junior doctors
  • Location: Worcestershire Acute Hospitals
  • Shift patterns: 8:00-17:00 Mon-Fri on-going, nights & twilight (part-time hours also available)
  • Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
  • Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts

 

Rates:

  • Junior doctor: £35-£50 per hour

 

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all candidates applying for this role must have the following:

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides hospital-based services from three main sites, the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre and Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester.
