Nursing (Qualified)
Nursing in the NHS can be a challenging, rewarding, and interesting environment, working for NHS Professionals will give you the opportunity to gain valued experience whist working flexibly and improving your skillset. We are continuously looking for Nurses who work in a variety of health settings, from accident and emergency, to patients' homes, with people of all ages and backgrounds.
What you need to apply
You will need a minimum of 6 months healthcare experience (Private or NHS) within the last 2 years, in a relevant setting in which you are applying to e.g. ITU, A&E, General, Mental Health, Community and hold a valid NMC registration. Alternatively, if you do not hold the relevant experience, you will need to have completed a ‘Return to Practice’ within the last 2 years.
Experience can be from one of the following areas:
- An NHS Hospital
- A private hospital in the UK
- A Prison healthcare service in the UK
- A Hospice in the UK
- A Mental Health service in the UK
- A Community healthcare service in the UK
- A Learning Disabilities healthcare service in the UK
- A Care Home in the UK (subject to Trust Requirements)
Nursing (Unqualified) – Healthcare Assistants / Care Support Workers
Being a Healthcare Assistant, you will make sure the patient experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. It can also be the stepping-stone into many other NHS roles such as a Registered Nurse.
What you need to apply
You will need a minimum of 3 months Healthcare assistant experience within the last 2 years, in the relevant setting you are applying to e.g. ITU, A&E, General, Mental Health and hold a valid Care Certificate or relevant qualification. Alternatively, if you do not have the relevant experience, you will need be currently studying (Student Nurse) towards a Nursing qualification (Degree level) and completed a minimum of a 10 or 12 week (depending on the Trust you are applying for) clinical placement in an to work as a Healthcare Assistant. If you do not have the relevant care experience, you can apply for our Care Support Worker Development programme.

- A Mental Health service in the UK
- A Community healthcare service in the UK

In addition to experience, all Healthcare Assistant roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes:
- Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks’ clinical placements.
- Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation
- QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services – issued after 2011
- QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support – issued after 2011
- QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support – issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only)
- Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.

What you need to apply
Qualified roles – You will need a Minimum of 6 months in the last 2 years within the role applied for and a relevant qualification associated to the place of work in which you are applying to.
Unqualified roles – You will need a Minimum of 3 months in the last 2 years within the role applied for, with relevant education requirements associated to the role you are applying to OR currently studying appropriate degree and completed a minimum of 12 weeks places.
