From 16th September 2019, NHS Improvement (NHSI) will be introducing a restriction on the use of admin and estates agency workers at all NHS trusts in England. This is to help trusts to reduce their agency costs in non-clinical areas. NHS Professionals is working with your trust to introduce an agency restriction at the trust in line with these changes. If you currently are working through an agency in any of the following roles, and would like to continue working at the trust, you will need to register with the NHSP bank.
Some of the roles affected by the agency restriction include:
- Admin, IT, HR i.e. consultants, advisors, support services
- Maintenance and Estates i.e. driver, estate worker, property managers
- Sterile Services
- Housekeeping
- Security
- Hotel Services i.e. porter, domestic services, food services
