New partnership with RDASH delivers 50,000 hours of patient care and staff fill rates of 92%

NHS Professionals (NHSP) the largest provider of flexible workforce solutions to the NHS, is delighted to announce a new staffing partnership with Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDASH).

The Trust, operating in more than 100 locations across Rotherham, Doncaster and North Lincolnshire, provides a wide range of specialist services including mental health, children’s physical services, and learning disabilities.

This partnership with RDASH represents further expansion for NHSP across the region and the country.

Historically, the Trust have faced challenges with lack of shift visibility and no central view for staffing. Following the partnership launch in October 2024, NHS Professionals is now the sole point of contact for all flexible working, including recruitment, engagement, and booking shifts. NHSP has also taken over responsibility for employment checks and statutory and mandatory training. This collaboration means that NHSP is now responsible for running the staff bank function for Nursing & Midwifery, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Healthcare Scientists, and Admin and Clerical staff groups at the Trust.

As of the end of January 2025, 1,407 NHSP Bank Members are now working at the Trust, undertaking a total of 6,727 shifts. This has delivered nearly 50,000 hours of patient care. The successful collaboration involved 30+ subject matter experts across both organisations. In just three months, there have also been some significant achievements for the Trust, including:

• 95% of ID checks completed in the first 60 days
• 92% bank fill rates delivered
• 0% agency usage
• 40 new Bank Members

In addition, as a result of NHSP’s management information platform, the Trust now have improved visibility and transparency of shifts, enhanced reporting, and additional recruitment metrics to support patient care.
