What does the NHS mean to you? HCS winner

In the last edition of the Digest, we asked you to fill in a short survey telling us what the NHS means to you. Everyone that responded had the chance to win one of 5, £20 Amazon e-Vouchers.

We are pleased to share the winning entry from our Healthcare Scientists staff group:

“The NHS makes me feel bold and confident in my day-to-day activity and in general during work periods - especially when having to care for the elderly patients on one of the specialist dementia units at Prospect Park Hospital, Reading.

The fact that I am a staff member of the NHS and waking up every day knowing I make a difference in other people's lives gives me satisfaction. My career progress is yet to really kick-start, but I have absolutely no doubt that the future is as bright as snow.

I'm excited and proud to be a part of the NHS and will continue to do my outmost to affect other people's lives positively."
