Congratulations to our G.E.M Award winners

In recent weeks, we have started to see our Trust teams presenting our G.E.M Award winners with their winning packs in person.

With 68 winners across all our Trusts, it’s been fantastic to see the images of so many of our Bank Members being recognised and celebrated. Each G.E.M Award winner received a £100 Amazon voucher, a Cadbury chocolate box, a certificate, a pin badge, and a lanyard as part of their G.E.M Award winning pack.

Subin who was the G.E.M Award winner for South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. He was nominated for consistently putting his patients first, ensuring they are safe, comfortable and well cared for, while also providing exceptional support to the nursing team and communicating confidently with all healthcare professionals. He is a valued team member who mentors new HCAs, handles relatives with ease, and helps the whole unit run smoothly.

Kelly who was selected as a G.E.M Award winner for Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. She was nominated for showing exceptional leadership and compassion throughout the Flu Fairy campaign, building confidence in flu vaccination among patients, families, and staff while supporting and training new team members. Her professionalism, collaborative approach, and positive influence across multidisciplinary teams make her an outstanding ambassador for patient care and health promotion.

Olivia was a G.E.M Award winner for Central Surrey Health. Olivia was nominated for consistently demonstrating exceptional nursing skill, compassion, and communication, going above and beyond to support patients and their families during emotionally intense situations. Her dedication was especially evident when she stayed for hours with an unstable palliative patient, providing calm, empathetic care and ensuring the family felt fully supported - a true reflection of her outstanding practice and character.
