Welcome to Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Staffing Pool

In Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS), we are excited to launch a programme in partnership with NHS Professionals, exploring potential roles across the health and social care system that might be suitable for people like you, who stepped forward to offer their support during the pandemic (Test and Trace, Vaccine Programme or Rapid response teams). To do this, we need to learn a little bit more about you, how you would like to help, and the skills and experience you can offer to your local NHS in Acute Hospital, Mental Health, Community, Primary Care, and Social Care settings.

What next?

  • A short survey – ‘what interests you?’
  • A conversation surrounding careers and options
  • Mapping skills and experience
  • Linking you with job/career options

Engage with us in Hampshire & Isle of Wight – Our People are our greatest asset.

Step 1: Survey – tell us about you

Complete a short questionnaire about you, your current circumstances and the opportunities that you might wish to explore in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. This will include ways of working (permanent/flexible/bank/crisis or surge demand etc…) and types of roles (clinical and non-clinical) based around your commitments.

Step 2: Career conversation

Having received your completed survey, we would welcome a discussion to understand your circumstances and the opportunities you are seeking more fully to help determine which career pathway matches your needs. This may include an assessment linked to the NHS core values to enable you to determine options best suited to you.

Step 3: Skills and experience

Once you have selected a pathway, we will work closely with you to connect you in appropriate staffing pools and match you to relevant opportunities within Hampshire and Isle of Wight. This could be new or existing opportunities in line with demand and your skills and experience.

Step 4: Job application

If you are matched to an appropriate role, we will work closely with our Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS employers, and share details of all of the processes you may have completed to date (such as DBS and reference checks, training and occupational health assessments). This should mean that you do not need to repeat these recruitment steps, which will simplify the onboarding process.

If no relevant opportunities are identified at this time, your details will remain in the staffing pool so that you can be considered for future opportunities.
