Healthcare Support Worker Development Webinars

We are hosting a series of webinars to support HCSWD trainees and mentors throughout their placement, to ensure you get the most out of the programme.

We provide 3 sessions for trainees and one for mentors. All trainee sessions are facilitated by our Practice Development Nurses and members of our on-placement team.

Please note Conflict Management Training is mandatory for all trainees and should be completed in your 6th to 8th week of placement.

Second Tuesday of every month at 10 am or 4 pm

During this session, HCSWD trainees can ask any questions relating to their workbooks which include the 15 standards and completion or sign-off questions.

Every Thursday at 1 pm or 4:30 pm

This is an opportunity for trainees to reflect on placements as well as understand how to deal with managing conflict within the clinical setting. There will be a presentation and an open discussion during the training.

Third Tuesday of every month at 1 pm or 4:30 pm

We are providing a series of regular drop-ins, aimed at nurses and mentors on the ward who support the trainees in their on-going training, coaching and supporting the trainees in learning the skills to develop into Healthcare Support Workers.

These sessions do not require any fixed agenda and will cover any questions about the programme.

First Tuesday of every month at 1 pm or 4:30 pm

This session is an open session that is held by our Practice Development Nurses and members of our on-placement team. It is a chance for HCSWD trainees to ask any questions concerning their placement and the programme. This can be clinical, or admin related.
