Follow these simple steps to reset your password
Option 1 - via your work laptop:
When you turn on your work laptop, you will see an option to 'Reset Password' where you would usually enter your login credentials. Select this and follow the steps below, starting at step 2.
Option 2 - via your work phone or personal device:
- Step 1: Go to a web browser either on your work phone or personal device and type the following: passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
- Step 2: When the page has loaded and you are prompted, enter your NHSP email address (firstname.lastname@nhsprofessionals.nhs.uk)
- Step 3: Enter the characters shown on your screen in the next field
- Step 4: Use your multi-factor authentication method and enter the six digit code. Your multi-factor authentication method will either be a mobile app, or a text message.
- Step 5: Create your new password. Your password must be a minimum of 8 characters and must contain:
- At least one uppercase alphabet letter (A-Z)
- At least one lowercase alphabet letter (a-z)
- At least one numerical digit (0-9)
- At least one special character, such as ~! @#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/
- Must not contain the user's account name
- Must not contain more than two consecutive characters of your full name
- Once you have completed these steps, you will have successfully changed your password. You may now log in to your NHSP devices with your new password.
