NHS Professionals in partnership with George Eliot Trust are looking for Staff Nurse to join the bank.

Location – Medicine and surgery

Pay rate – Day rate: £17.28.

Night/Saturday rate: £22.46

Sunday/Bank Holiday rate: £27.64

Hours & Working Pattern could be Flexible depending on the placement requirements with the working hours available - Monday to Friday with some occasional weekend shifts available.

The post holder should be able:

Clinical

1.1 Deliver a high standard of nursing care without direct supervision, based upon a sound evidence base.
1.2 Undertakes and documents a comprehensive, systematic and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, social and spiritual needs of the patient where appropriate.
1.3 Creates and utilizes opportunities to promote health and well-being of patients in their care.
1.4 Manage a group of patients throughout a shift as delegated by nurse in charge.
1.5 Working within the N.M.C Guidelines and Trust Policies recognising one’s own abilities and limitation

Managerial

2.1 In the absence of senior colleagues manages the Ward/Department on occasions without direct supervision when competent to do so.
2.2 Use computerised systems to support the provision of patient care and treatment.
2.3 Work within Clinical Governance Standards and Trust Policies.
2.4 Ensure that concerns and complaints from patients, visitors or colleagues are resolved where possible and reported to the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
2.5 To be conversant with all Trust Emergency Procedures.
2.6 Comply with Trust Manual Handling Policy.
