The trust has successfully completed an £8 million development of the Imaging Department, a £1 million refurbishment of the Acute Medical Unit and £2 million on the Emergency Department Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) and Resuscitation Unit.
Last year, its dedicated workers cared for more than 61,000 patients, saw 268,000 in clinical appointments and treated 78,000 in the emergency department.

We’re looking for Band 5 Nurses like you, to join the flexible staff bank. Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has a rich tradition developing Nursing practice and delivering excellent patient care. We have a number of shifts available in these wards:
- Paediatrics and Children's Ward
- ITU/ICU/Intensive Care
- A&E/Emergency Department/Paediatrics ED
- Acute General Nursing
Band 5 Pay Rates:
- Days: £15.40
- Nights/Saturdays: £20.02
- Sundays/Bank Holidays: £24.64
All we ask is that you will need to be able to think on your feet, working well both autonomously and as part of a team. You will also need 6 months NHS experience at Band 5 Level.
