We have an ongoing placement for an ICS Administrator at Leigh Infirmary (WN7 1HS) relocating to Golbourne Clinic (WA3 3EG) at a date to be confirmed. 

This is a role within the community team and is part of the Admin & Clinical Triage team. The role provides admin support to the nurses, who go out into the community to provide end of life care.


The duties are; 

  • To handle calls and provide first point of contact for service user enquiries.
  • Adding patients to triage list, who will then be triaged by the nurses
  • Be responsible for registration of referrals and scanning in of documentation onto electronic patient records using SystmOne.  .
  • Book in patients attending clinics where required along with making follow up appointments and reschedule appointments as required.
  • To take messages and relay to relevant services
  • Action DNAs and cancellations as per local protocols.
  • To be responsible for administrative tasks as delegated.
  • To liaise with internal departments and external agencies.

 The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 – 17.00. 

This is a Band 2 and the hourly pay is £9.21. 

They are looking for 

  • The ability to communicate effectively in a variety of ways with patients and carers to ensure the smooth delivery of the service in an efficient, tactful, sensitive and professional manner, this may include telephone, video conferencing or face to face.
  • Prioritise workload effectively to ensure response times are maintained.
  • Ideally have a full understanding and be able to accurately use the full Electronic Patient Record using SystmOne.
  • Strong Microsoft packages knowledge
  • Work well as part of a team
