We are delighted to welcome Dr Vimoshan Arumuham on Tuesday 8th September between 18:30 – 19:30.

Locally Employed Doctors - The new ‘lost tribe’?

About the speaker;

Mr Vimo Arumuham qualified from the University of Nottingham Medical School and in his early years of surgical training worked in hospitals throughout the country - ranging from Cornwall to Cumbria. He was seconded out of training to work with the current NHS Medical Director Prof Stephen Powis and the King's Fund as a Darzi Fellow in Clinical Leadership at the Royal Free London Hospital.

His final three years of sub-specialist training have taken him to the Institute of Urology at Westmoreland Street Hospital (part of University College London Hospitals); the largest and most prestigious Urology Unit in the UK. There, he was appointed a Consultant Urological Surgeon in 2018, with his practice shared across two separate hospitals – West Hertfordshire NHS Trust and University College London NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst his subspecialist interest is in Endoluminal Endourology and the management of Urinary Tract Stones, he is a keen educationalist and is also Clinical Tutor of Locally Employed Doctors at West Herts NHS Trust.
