Work 10 nurse bank shifts and earn £200 bonus for every 10 shifts worked

As a band 4, 5 or 6 nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist or midwife on the Trust Bank you will qualify for the incentive. This offer runs from the 1st December 2018 to the 31st March 2019 providing staff meet the below criteria.

This Incentive does not apply to Theatre staff who have a separate arrangement.

  • You must have worked any hours owing to the Trust prior to booking any bank shifts
  • You can only book “1” shift in a 24-hour period. Shifts must be at least 6 hours long to qualify
  • Once booked and confirmed shifts must not be cancelled on the system by you. (*Definition of a cancellation – Once booked into a shift you must not take yourself out even to book onto another Ward. Cancelling for sickness, personal reasons or alternative employment is included as a cancellation)
  • If the Ward cancel you then please ensure that they remove you from the shift so that this does not appear as a cancellation against you.
  • No performance issues recorded. Staff must have a “no sickness record” during the period of additional shifts worked – both in their Trust post and their bank shifts.
  • No more than 56 hours per week in total can be worked, across combined Trust and bank shifts. The Incentive will be paid Monthly on the below dates, dependent on shifts that meet the criteria being released weekly:

Payment - 25th January 19 for shifts worked in Dec 18 – timesheets must be released by 9th January 19

Payment - 22nd February 19 for shifts worked in Jan 19 – timesheets must be released by 10th February 19

Payment - 29th March 19 for shifts worked in Feb 19– timesheets must be released by 13th March 19

Payment - 26th April 19 for shifts worked in March 19 – timesheets must be released by 10th April 19

By means of a gentle reminder, although under the terms of the Incentive scheme, you benefit from an increased hourly pay rate, the scheme does not apply to your other contractual terms (such as payments for annual leave and pension). These remain as previously agreed with you. The incentive is £200 before normal deductions (i.e. tax and NI).
