Specialist Registrar - ITU

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a SpR to work with us at Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust on their ITU team.

We are looking for a dedicated doctor ready to work in a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence.

As a Critical Care Physician, your responsibilities and duties will include:

Overseeing the care of patients needing ICU level or emergency care. This can be due to physical injury or disease, assuming that the condition is life-threatening. Doctors in this specialty are often called intensive care physicians, critical care physicians or intensivists. The successful SPR’s will provide life support, invasive monitoring techniques, resuscitation, and end-of-life care.

This Role is ongoing to help cover recruitment gaps, sickness and annul leave. This role would be predominantly based in John Radcliffe Hospital with the opportunity to work shifts across the Trusts’ other sites and any of our partner Trusts.

 

Requirements

Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all applicants for this role should meet pre-screening requirements before applying.

  • Full GMC licence to practice
  •  Right to work in the UK
  • Completed clinical attachment
  • Minimum of 3 months experience in the UK within the last 2 years

About the Role:

  • Location: Oxford, OX3
  • Start date: ASAP – ongoing, no end date yet
  • Shift pattern: various days/nights (trust will accept candidates 3-4 days per week)
  • Pay rate: £50-£70 per hour
  • Accommodation: Yes, available at discounted rates and is managed separately by yourself
