Working Shifts at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Before working your first shift at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, please read the following information.

Trust ID Swipe card (SmartCard)

It is mandatory for NHS Professionals Bank Members to get a Trust ID card which will provide access to wards and clinical areas that you might be working in. In order to get a Trust ID card:

  1. Complete a SmartCard request form which can be downloaded by clicking here
  2. Take the completed form and ID documents (detailed on the request form) to the Trust Smart Card office which is located by Trust HR in Kendrick Wing, Warrington Hospital

System Training and Access

You may require IT/Clinical System access or training for your role (e.g. Trust Network Account, Blood Glucose Monitoring Training, Falls Prevention Management, Sepsis). Upon your first shift, speak to the manager in charge to find out what access you will require.

Traveling to the hospitals

Warrington Hospital and Halton General Hospital are both easily accessible being a short distance from the M56, M62 and M6 motorways.

The hospitals are located 10 miles apart.

Parking Permits can be obtained from Cash Office on the ground floor of Warrington hospital. The Cash Office is located opposite PALS at the front of the hospital and is open Monday – Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm.
