Registered Nurses – Respiratory Unit
We have exciting and challenging opportunities for Registered Nurses to develop their skills within the Respiratory Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary as part of the Staff Bank.
You will be joining an award-winning team, in a Unit that benefits from ward sister cover 24 hours a day to ensure you, as a registered nurse, will feel supported. You will be supported with an induction program and a ward based educational team to develop and support you in your new role.
As a Staff Nurse working on the ward you will be:
- A valued member of the team
- Providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner
- Able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence-based patient care
- Actively committed to looking at ways to improve patient experience
- Provide support to the Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP’s) in the Ambulatory Care Unit
- Delivering the medical management plans as devised by the ACP team and medical team
- Managing blood transfusions, ascetic drains, Intra venous antibiotics therapy, wound dressing.
- Assisting with patient flow, ordering and chasing take home medications and monitoring patient waiting times.
