Share Code Check

You will need to provide a share code number as proof of right to work in the UK for the below visa types:

• EU Pre-Settlement
• EU Settlement
• Limited Leave to Remain
• Indefinite Leave to Remain
• Skilled Worker Leave to Remain (Tier 2)

  A copy of your Certificate of Sponsorship must accompany your share code

• Tier 4 (10 or 20 hours)

  The below documents must accompany your share code: A letter confirming you are a student with details of the course you are attending as well as confirmation of your term timetable provided by your educational institution covering the duration of the course or the current academic year as a minimum

• Tier 5 Government Exchange

A copy of your Certificate of Sponsorship must accompany your share code

Generate your Share Code via the Gov.uk website

View and prove your immigration status: get a share code - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

A Birth Certificate issued in the UK including supporting evidence

Your Birth Certificate will need to be accompanied by proof of your National Insurance

This can be on a payslip, P45 or P60

We can accept a full or short Birth Certificate

Bank or Building Society Statement

Issued within the last 3 months

X We cannot accept online copies or screenshots of statements

X We can accept Bank Statements printed and stamped in branch

!!! 'Statements' must be related to an active account and show transactions so please do not cover these

Driving License: photo card issued in the UK or Isle of Man

Must be current

Council Tax Statement

Issued within the last 12 months

X We cannot accept Council Rent

Utility Bill (e.g. gas, electric, water)

X We cannot accept online utility bills, it must be a posted paper copy

Credit Card Statement

Share code checks are acceptable as proof of RTW only. They are not an acceptable ID document.

In case you have no valid photographic ID document we will need to conduct an external verification check and will require:

A passport sized photograph signed by a person of standing

Must be current

A statement from the person of standing which incudes how long they have known you and in what capacity

Must be current

!!! Letter must be signed

!!! A letter must be on Company Headed paper or sent via a work email address (e.g. not hotmail / gmail)

!!! A letter from the person stating that they have known you for 2 years. (must not be a relative)
