When booking holiday you will need to use our Holiday Booking System.
Your holiday hours are accrued by the amount of hours you have worked via the bank. To view how many hours you have accrued and to book holiday log onto our Holiday Booking system, or access it directly from My:Bank.
To learn more about the system please watch our short video.
Your login and password details for the holiday booking system are the same as your My:Bank login details.
There are just 6 steps for booking holiday:
- Login to the holiday booking system using your My:Bank login details.
- The holiday booking system will show how many accrued days you have to request as holiday. It will let you take holiday based on your average shifts length.
You will need to complete the form by entering the start date covering the period you wish to take as holiday, then click on ‘submit request’.
Your holiday request will then be processed.
The shift/s will be authorised on the holiday date, these hours will be automatically released for payment by payroll.
Payment will occur through standard payroll time frames and the details will appear on your payslip as a 'rest day'.
- For example:
if, over a 12 week period, you work an “average shift length” of 4 hours then you may take holiday of 4 hours or more
if you work an “average shift length” of 10 hours, then you may take holiday of 10 hours or more.
You cannot take holiday at the same time as you are booked to work a Bank shift.
If you have booked holiday you also cannot work a bank shift at the same time. If you accept to work a shift at short notice and you need to cancel your holiday, you can cancel up to 2 hours before the end of the booked holiday shift.
To view the full details of your booked holiday click on the heading at the top of the home page within Holiday Booking system called Holiday History.
