Bonus Incentive

 

We are pleased to announce that for any NHSP bank shifts worked at Croydon Health Services, a bonus is payable to the Nursing & Midwifery staff group, for registered nurses and healthcare assistants who work during the month of December 2021 and January 2022 to support the winter period to ensure that we can continue to deliver high-quality patient care.

 

Criteria for Bonus payments are as follows for December 2021 and January 2022:

 

Registered nurses & midwives’ criteria:

  •  Substantive registered nurses who work an additional 56.5 bank hours within the calendar month, one bonus payment of £500.
  •  Bank registered nurses who work over 113 bank hours within the calendar month, one bonus payment of £500.

 

Healthcare assistants’ criteria:

  • Substantive healthcare assistants who work an additional 56.5 bank hours within the calendar month, one bonus payment of £250.
  •  Bank healthcare assistants who work over 113 bank hours within the calendar month, one bonus payment of £250.

 

Please note that if you are asked to move wards (be redeployed) to an alternative ward where clinically appropriate and decline, incentive payment will not be paid for that calendar month. 

 

This is across all wards and community sites for registered nurses, midwives, and healthcare assistants (including Health Visitors).

 

We are also reintroducing the previous agreement whereby any member of staff who has reported sick is unable to undertake a bank shift for two weeks from the date of when they are fit to return to work. For Bank staff, if a shift is cancelled due to sickness, you will not be entitled to a bonus. 

 

Bonus payments will be made for each month as per below, it is very important that you release all timesheets worked no later than the dates highlighted below under “Timesheet Release date” in order to be paid any bonuses earned.

Each bonus scheme runs separately for the month of December and January, your hours worked in December cannot be counted for January.
