Band 5 – basic pay rate £15.40ph, Sat/Night £20.02ph, Sun/Bank Hol £24.64 ph

The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients care within the Ward/unit, working in accordance with the philosophy of patient centred care and to NSF and other Trust standards.

The post holder will:-

Have the ability to provide skilled evidence based nursing care to a wide range of clients

  • Have the ability to work without direct supervisions, yet as a member of a team
  • Assess, plan and implement and evaluate patient focused nursing care
  • Document care given and maintain contemporaneous records
  • In collaboration with other team members organise the reception and discharge of patients ensuring effective communication in transfer of information
  • To work on other wards/departments/units as requested by Ward Managers or Matron/Hospital Manager in the event of sickness or absence assisting to ensure safe levels of staffing.

In order to apply for a post you must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role held within the last 2 years and be a qualified Registered Nurse (RN 1).
